First off, Happy Halloween to those of you who observe that particular celebration. My daughter paraded off in an Iridessa costume, hand crafted by myself and her daddy ( he built the wing structure and the method of attaching it to her body). Iridessa is the “Light Fairy” in the Tinkerbell movies. We even managed to color her slippers (originally clear plastic slip-ons) yellow to match, using just a permanent market. Who knew?
Tomorrow is November 1st, which means the beginning of NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo, both writing exercises of a sort. NaNoWriMo is a just-for-fun event designed to encourage people to write 50,000 words within the month of November. That should be enough for a novel, right? I don’t know whether or not I will manage it this year, but I’m going to try.
NaBloPoMo is the same concept, except the idea is to blog every single day of November. The goal here is to develop of habit of posting to your blog on a daily basis.
I think the two can work well together, don’t you? We shall see! I invite you to join me for either or both of these events. Let’s see how far we can push the envelope this month!
